Product tanker enquiries: define the grade before discussing availability

Refineries turn crude oil into a range of petroleum products. For a shipping enquiry, that broad market description must become an exact cargo specification before a vessel can be screened properly.

A clearer product cargo brief

Our recommended brief states the grade, specification, quantity and tolerance, load and discharge ports, and required dates. Where applicable, ask about segregation, heating and handling requirements. Do not infer these details from a short subject line or from the vessel's market label.

Carry the specification through the workflow

Keep the original cargo wording linked to any extracted record. If a reply changes the grade, dates or quantity, refresh the requirement and check existing candidates again. A market note can explain the commercial context, but it cannot substitute for the cargo instructions or the vessel's documented capabilities.
